Canada is recognized worldwide for our outstanding quality of higher education with 11 of the top 250 universities worldwide. Canadian colleges are also among the top in the world and often the best way for many international aspirants to gain high-quality education under an affordable fee structure.

Canada consistently ranks as one of the best countries in the world to live. In fact, we are currently ranked as the best country for quality of life.

Canada also is a leading immigration country in the world. Every year we welcome thousands of new immigrants from all over the world to become permanent residents (PR) and start their new life in Canada.

The Canadian Government’s Message to International Students

The Canadian Government has set up a long-term immigration policy to welcome international students to study in Canada and become Permanent Residents (PR) as skilled workers who are invited to make positive contributions to the Canadian society.

In a March 2022 interview with a local education technology firm, the Canadian Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser at that time, stated: “Our message to international students and graduates is simple, we don’t just want you to study here. We’re hoping to create pathways that allow you to stay here and make a lasting contribution beyond your academic career.”

According to Fraser, the Canadian government is hoping to give international students a route into Canadian permanent residency (PR). He further stressed the importance of immigration and the contributions of international students to the Canadian economy and future prosperity.

Our Integrated Pathway Services and Programs to International Students

For international students, if you are aspiring to study in Canada and to consider becoming a PR after your study and to start a new life in Canada, you are moving in the right direction. International students are being invited, encouraged, and supported by our Canadian government to study and immigrate to Canada. This can be a life-changing decision for you. We are excited for you!

Every year, thousands of international students would like to come to Canada to study at a university or college. However, a lack of understanding of the Canadian higher education system, admission requirements, and the application process can be major obstacles to making their Canadian dream come true.

We fully understand that coming to Canada to study is one of the most important decisions an international student can make. We also deeply understand that for an international student, it can be a very complicated and difficult process to find a suitable school and program of study, to get a work permit, and to find a job.

The lack of understanding of the Canadian higher education system, the job market, immigration laws and programs, and culture can be barriers for many students. That is why our professional team at Anthony International Group offers an integrated pathway consulting service for international students, starting from choosing a suitable program and school through to PR and settlement in Canada. We walk with our international students through this complicated process and assist them with challenges along the path.

Based on each international student’s needs, our integrated pathway services and programs support different steps along your journey to Canada.

Understanding Our Integrated Pathway Services and Programs

Study -> Work Permit -> Job -> Canadian PR -> New Life in Canada

Stage 1: Study In Canada

Stage-1: Study in Canada
  • Finding a suitable program and then school in Canada

For international students, choosing a suitable program and school for their studies in Canada is crucial for their future job prospects and the Canadian PR application.

Canada is a vast country, the second-largest country in the world. Stretching 7,821 km from the Pacific to the Atlantic coasts Canada features 223 public and private universities, and 213 public colleges and institutes featuring more than 10,000 educational and training programs.

Our thorough assessment of students’ talents, qualities and personal interests combined with our deep understanding of the Canadian labour and job market, will help students choose suitable programs to ensure that they can not only enjoy their studies based on their strengths and interests but also have good career prospects in Canada upon completion of their studies.

We will also help students evaluate and make personal selections regarding where to live in Canada and which school to attend.

Many factors contribute to the selection of a program and a school and students will need to consider and weigh all factors and make their own final decisions.

  • Applying for a school admission

Once international students make their final choice of study program and school in Canada, the next step is to gain admission.

Quite often, it can be difficult to get into a specific program because all study programs have a limited number of spots available and at some programs and schools there is strong competition among applicants.

Submitting incorrect documents and information to the school registrar’s office during the application process can result in a long delay or even a rejection of the student’s application.

Correctly navigating the admissions process can be a challenge for international students.

We are authorized by our Canadian school partners to apply for a school admission on behalf of our international students for their studies in Canada.

Based on our thorough understanding of Canadian schools’ application requirements and processes plus our partnership with Canadian schools, we can assist our international students to facilitate their admission application, submit correct documents, and get into the program and university/college of their choice successfully. Once it is completed, we will send the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the school to students via emails or express mail as needed. In addition, we will also help students to apply for the school’s scholarships whenever applicable.

  • Applying for a visa and study permit for your study in Canada

Upon receiving your LOA (Letter of Acceptance) from a school, the next step is to apply for a student visa and study permit from the Canadian Embassy to come to Canada for your study. This can be one of the most difficult tasks for international students.

Quite often, a student visa or study permit application will be refused by the Canadian visa officers because the student did not fully understand the visa/study permit requirements or know how to prepare the correct documents required.

Our team has expertise in managing Canadian student visa and study permit applications. We can help international students prepare acceptable documents including a good study plan and help ensure applications fully meet the requirements, enabling students to obtain a visa and study permit.

Stage 2: Apply for a work permit

Stage-2: Applying for a work permit in Canada

During their Canadian Studies, some students may be eligible to work in Canada on a limited, part-time basis.  If a student is accompanied by a spouse their spouse may be eligible to obtain a visa to work in Canada

Once international students complete their studies in Canada, we encourage them to immediately apply for a work permit through “the PostGraduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP)” to gain Canadian work experience and to be qualified for the Canadian PR application.

This process is not difficult but if a student needs any help with the application, we will assist them in applying for this work permit so that they can legally work in Canada.

Stage 3: Applying for a job in Canada

Stage-3: Applying for a job in Canada

Once the work permit is obtained this does not guarantee a graduate a job in Canada. International students often find it difficult to find a job in their preferred professional fields in Canada once they graduate.

Having a job is so crucial for a student not only to gain Canadian work experience but also to be qualified for a Canadian PR application.

Our team members have over 20 years of career and job search counselling experience helping Canadian university and college graduates to find jobs. We will strive to help our international students to find their preferred jobs in Canada and to be ready for their Canadian PR application.

Stage 4: Applying for Canadian PR status

Stage-4: Applying for Canadian PR status and establishing a new life in Canada

Based on Canadian immigration laws and programs, an international student may be qualified to apply for a Canadian PR status after gaining some work experience in Canada. This can be both the most exciting and the most challenging matter for an international student. Without a deep understanding and expertise in the Canadian immigration laws and programs, it will be very difficult for international students to get their PR application done smoothly and successfully.

Our team is here to assist graduates through this process. We will work with immigration lawyers and consultants to walk you through your PR application process, help you to prepare and submit your PR application, and prepare you for a possible interview with the Canadian immigration officers until your application is completed successfully. We really hope you will have your Canadian PR and establish a new life in Canada soon.

Stage 5: Starting your new life and own business in Canada

Stage-5: Starting your own business in Canada if you are an entrepreneur

For those international students who have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to start their own business in Canada, we are here to assist you to succeed as well. We will help you to write your business plan, develop your strategy, incorporate your company, establish your team, find funding for your start-up company, and assist with other relevant aspects. We will be happy to see your business as another Canadian success story in the future.
